Solid waste collection efforts in Zone 4

Lucknow: In Zone-4 of Lucknow Municipal Corporation, solid waste collection from households and commercial establishments is being done. Presently, after the contract of Lucknow Swachhata Abhiyan Sanstha was signed by the Municipal Corporation, 121 battery operated vehicles have been installed for household waste collection in a total of 10 wards of Zone-4, along with 24 vehicles for solid waste collection from commercial establishments and the organization has appointed 36 supervisors, 2 unit in-charges and one zonal officer for supervision of this work.
