Lucknow: A joint team of the Lucknow Crime Branch SOG and Indiranagar police has arrested Suresh Pasi alias Suresh Rawat, a wanted accused carrying a reward of ₹25,000, who had allegedly been evading arrest for a prolonged period.
According to police, Pasi was wanted in connection with a case involving an alleged house burglary in the Indiranagar area during which members of the victim’s family were attacked. Several family members reportedly sustained serious injuries in the incident.
Police said several other accused in the case had already been arrested and sent to jail, while Suresh Pasi alias Suresh Rawat remained absconding. A ₹25,000 reward had subsequently been announced for information leading to his arrest.
The accused was eventually apprehended during a joint operation conducted by the Crime Branch SOG team and Indiranagar police.
Police said preliminary information indicates that several criminal cases had previously been registered against Pasi. Authorities are now investigating his criminal history and alleged role in the Indiranagar incident.
The arrest was carried out by a team led by Crime Branch SOG in-charge Shivanand Mishra, along with personnel from Indiranagar police station.
Further legal proceedings are underway.
