Minister Rakesh Sachan Directs Timely Implementation to Promote Investment and Employment
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday reviewed the progress of key textile infrastructure projects as part of its efforts to strengthen the state’s handloom and textile industry and position Uttar Pradesh as a major hub for textiles and apparel manufacturing.
A departmental review meeting, chaired by Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom and Textile Minister Rakesh Sachan, was held in Room No. 80 on the first floor of the Vidhan Sabha’s main building. The meeting focused on the implementation of the Sant Kabir Textile Park and Apparel Park projects, along with other major departmental schemes.
During the review, Sachan discussed various aspects of project execution with officials and directed them to ensure the timely and effective implementation of all ongoing initiatives. He said Uttar Pradesh has immense potential in the textile sector and stressed the need to accelerate these projects to establish the state as a leading destination for textile and apparel industries.
The minister said the Yogi Adityanath government is committed not only to industrial growth but also to creating large-scale employment opportunities. He noted that the Textile Park and Apparel Park projects would play a significant role in attracting investment, facilitating the establishment of industrial units and generating jobs at the local level while creating better opportunities for handloom weavers and artisans.
Sachan also instructed officials to ensure that the benefits of departmental schemes reach all eligible beneficiaries without delay and that implementation bottlenecks are addressed promptly. He reiterated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government is committed to integrating traditional industries with modern technology and creating an employment-oriented industrial ecosystem.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing schemes, assessed their implementation status and discussed the future roadmap for the department.
Principal Secretary Anil Sagar, Special Secretary Sheshmani Pandey and other senior departmental officials attended the review meeting.
