Lucknow/Kanpur: A community meeting aimed at the upliftment of the Yadav society was organised at Jaitipur Road, Ghatampur, under the initiative of former Village Development Officer Amar Singh Yadav. The gathering brought together community leaders, educators, former representatives, and social workers to deliberate on issues affecting the society and to strengthen collective unity.
The meeting focused on removing internal disparities within the community and taking a collective pledge to promote education, organisation, and social awareness. Speakers stressed the importance of becoming socially and educationally empowered in order to contribute positively to all sections of society and uphold mutual respect and harmony.
Participants also emphasised the role of education as a key driver of progress, citing the teachings of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, and former Chief Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, who consistently advocated education as the foundation of empowerment and social advancement. Speakers urged the community to strengthen its commitment to education and use knowledge as a tool for progress and dignity.
Samajwadi Party leader Chaudhary Ramveer Singh Yadav, addressing the gathering, highlighted the need for social unity and collective development. He said that an educated and organised community can better contribute to nation-building and serve all sections of society with equality and respect.

Several other prominent members also expressed their views, including Ajit Yadav, Praveen Pankaj, Jaiveer Singh Yadav (Teachers’ Association, Kanpur), Ramroop Singh (former village head), Rambabu (former village head), Ramveer Singh, Mangal Yadav (Pradhan, BB Pur), Balwant Yadav (Mavai), Advocate Mahendra Singh Yadav, Balwan Yadav, Shivam Yadav, Prince Yadav, Manoj Yadav, Ramveer Yadav, Jeetu Yadav, Gulab Yadav, Dhirendra Yadav, Gaurav Yadav, Dev Singh Yadav, Ajit Yadav, Manvendra Yadav, Rupesh Yadav, Luvkush Yadav, Avinash Yadav, and Himanshu.
The participants collectively resolved to work towards eradicating social evils, particularly substance abuse, from the community. They pledged to promote a drug-free society and focus on education, discipline, and unity as guiding principles for future development.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen social harmony and accelerate the educational and moral upliftment of the Yadav community.
