Uttar Pradesh Unveils Future-Ready Green Transport Model at National Conclave

New Delhi/Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has presented a transformative, technology-driven transport model at the Green Transport Conclave held in New Delhi, signaling a major shift toward sustainable mobility and modern infrastructure. The two-day event, organized by the Indian Federation of Green Energy, brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and transport experts from across the country.

The conclave was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, who emphasized the importance of green mobility in India’s development trajectory. During the event, Uttar Pradesh made a strong impression with its forward-looking approach to sustainable transportation.

Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of the State Transformation Commission (STC), highlighted the state’s vision for eco-friendly mobility, robust logistics, and future-ready infrastructure. He noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is rapidly emerging as a key economic hub.

Singh outlined major initiatives, including the expansion of expressway networks such as the Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Ganga Expressway, and Agra–Lucknow Expressway. These projects have significantly reduced travel time, improved fuel efficiency, and boosted industrial investment.

The state is also prioritizing multi-modal connectivity, electric mobility, and clean public transport solutions, including e-buses and charging infrastructure. Emphasis is being placed on alternative fuels such as ethanol, biogas, and compressed biogas (CBG), alongside agricultural waste-based energy solutions.

Additionally, the integration of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence for traffic management, digital tolling, and real-time monitoring is set to redefine the transport ecosystem. Officials believe these innovations will enhance efficiency, safety, and commuter experience.

With a clear focus on sustainability, innovation, and connectivity, Uttar Pradesh’s green transport model is expected to play a crucial role in achieving the vision of a “Developed Uttar Pradesh 2047” and contributing to India’s trillion-dollar economy ambitions.
