UP International Trade Show ends on a high note

Lucknow/ Greater Noida: The UP International Trade Show 2024 organized at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida concluded successfully  on the fifth and final day. More than 5.5 lakh people registered their presence in this Maha Kumbh of UP entrepreneurs for 5 days and set a record. Last year, 3 lakh people visited the first edition of the trade show. This time more than 2.60 lakh visitors participated only through B2B and B2C, while the total figure reached 5.5 lakhs, along with crores received from domestic and foreign buyers. On the fifth and last day also, visitors arrived in large numbers to see the Maha Kumbh of UP entrepreneurs.

The road to the future is open for entrepreneurs, businessmen got orders worth crores during the mega event.

Happy with the success of the event, the Yogi government will now organize trade shows at the divisional and district levels as well.

The orders and sales of the show boosted the enthusiasm of both the government and the entrepreneurs. The trade show not only showed them the way to the future, but it also proved to be a milestone for their business. Happy with the success of the International Trade Show, the Yogi government is now considering organizing such programs at the divisional and district level as well. Its third edition will be organized once again from 25 to 29 September next year.

The state is building a global image through trade shows

On the occasion of the closing of the trade show, the state government’s MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Handloom and Textile Minister Rakesh Sachan honored the representatives of the companies that won prizes in various categories. Reiterating CM Yogi’s resolution, he said that the way this trade show has achieved widespread success, the state government will organize such events at the divisional and district level in the coming times, so that even small businessmen will start getting a big market. He said that this second edition of Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath has established new dimensions, which has given new energy to the businessmen of the state. The large number of visitors shows that this trade show is leaving its mark not only in India but also at the global level.

Cultural show mesmerized the visitors even on the last day

Various cultural programs were organized on the last day of the trade show, which mesmerized the visitors. Under the cultural programs, Kathak dance drama by Preeti Tiwari, Bundelkhandi folk singing by Jitendra Chaurasia and team, Kathak dance by Devendra Sharma Mangalmukhi were presented. Apart from this, programs like dance drama on Hanuman Chalisa and Band Stuti were also organized. In the end, a mesmerizing performance by Palash Sen and Euphoria Band thrilled the people.

Best stall awarded

On the last day of the International Trade Show, awards were given to the best stalls in each hall, which included Amazon Craft (Sambhal), Mughal Overseas (Moradabad), Arogya (Gautam Buddha Nagar) and many others. These awards reflect the huge business potential in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, talented students also showcased their talent in various competitions during the event. The project competition further highlighted the innovative spirit of the participants. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Expo Center and Mart, expressed his gratitude to all those involved in making the event a success.

UP’s flavors won hearts with grandeur and diversity

During the five days, while people enjoyed the grandeur and diversity of the fair, they also tasted the cuisines of different districts of the state. Various products of the state attracted people a lot. Apart from this, people also had a special craze to see products related to handicrafts, technology, agricultural products, textiles and food processing. At the same time, the exhibition of organic agricultural products also attracted the attention of the people. Apart from this, traditional handicrafts of Uttar Pradesh, such as pottery, weaving and embroidery items also attracted a lot of attention of the audience. The pavilion of food and beverage products also remained the main attraction in this show.

Plenty of orders received from the country and abroad

On the other hand, the trade show was successful in attracting not only domestic but also foreign buyers. Whether it is ODOP, MSME or other types of products, they were well liked by foreign buyers. Most of the exhibitors got good orders from countries like Australia, Zimbabwe, Cuba and partner country Vietnam. In this way, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the exhibitors due to getting international orders. Especially, new exhibitors took full advantage of this initiative of the state government.

▪️On September 25, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated UPITS 2024 in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. At the same time, Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi was also present on this occasion. Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh on the third day and Union Minister Piyush Goyal on the fourth day also made their presence here.

▪️Exhibition was organized in a total of 15 halls in UPITS 2024. All the big sectors including companies like Adani, Ambani, Reliance, Lulu Hyper Market, Vibes were seen in the exhibition hall of UP Invest.

▪️One complete hall was of UP Electronics, where more than 100 startups and electronics related companies showcased their products.

325 producers from 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including many women and differently-abled people, participated here.

▪️Many companies of animal husbandry, dairy, fisheries, agriculture and agro and food processing also showcased their products here. Food dishes were served as samples in the food processing hall.

▪️Hall number 14 and 15 were dedicated to exports, where all the exportable products of Uttar Pradesh were present. Most foreign customers were seen in these halls.

▪️400 foreign customers from all countries were invited here, while some customers also came here directly. They have been provided the opportunity of B2B meetings here. Through this, exporters received orders worth crores of rupees.

▪️Efforts were also made to showcase the products and efforts of Power, Renewable Energy and Defense Corridor here. Also, all the education related institutions including many big universities provided details of their schemes and facilities to the youth here.

▪️In this mega event which lasted for 5 days, a total of 5 knowledge sessions were organized, which were based on e-commerce trends and opportunities, innovations and startups, country’s export potential, insurance awareness as well as financial regulations and export-import facilitation.

▪️Cultural evenings were also organized here from 4 pm to 9 pm on all five days. Famous singers Ankit Tiwari, Kanika Kapoor as well as Palash Sen’s Euphoria band and other artists and bands were present in these.

▪️During these 5 days, the visitors also got to taste the flavours of UP, which included Lucknow’s Tunday Kabab from Jaunpur, Chokha from Ballia, Chaat from Kanpur, Khurchan from Khurja, Panchhi Petha from Agra, Peda from Mathura and Paan from Banaras etc.

▪️On the fourth day of the event, the entrepreneurs received orders worth more than Rs 100 crore from companies in the US, France and Japan. The major deals included orders worth Rs 50 crore from Birla Aircon and Sony, Rs 25 crore from Madrasan (Nirvana), Rs 10 crore each from Vadilal Ice Cream and Jain Shikanji.

▪️While more than 5 lakh visitors visited the show during the entire event, more than 260 lakh visitors attended the B2B and B2C sessions held in the first four days.
