UP Congress Mobilises Organisation for ‘Save Vote, Save Country’ Rally in Delhi on November 1

Aradhana Mishra Mona Says Uttar Pradesh Will Make History; Rajendra Pal Gautam Calls Rahul Gandhi Key to Protecting Constitution and Democracy

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee has intensified preparations for the party’s ‘Save Vote, Save Country’ mega rally scheduled for November 1 at Delhi’s historic Ramlila Maidan, mobilising its organisational machinery across all six zones and 75 districts to ensure large-scale participation.

Under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Congress President Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’, the party has drawn up an extensive mobilisation strategy, involving district units, frontal organisations, departments and various cells. The objective is to ensure maximum participation from Uttar Pradesh and highlight the importance of protecting democratic institutions, the Constitution and citizens’ voting rights.

Congress General Secretary and Organisation In-charge K.C. Venugopal is overseeing preparations nationally through a central war room in Delhi. The Uttar Pradesh unit is coordinating through a dedicated control room at the state headquarters, directly monitoring arrangements across all six organisational zones and 75 districts.

Mishra said preparations were being given final touches and organisational meetings had already been conducted in the Western, Braj, Awadh, Bundelkhand, Prayag and Purvanchal zones. District presidents and senior leaders have been assigned responsibilities to coordinate the movement of party workers to Delhi.

Senior Congress leaders have also been entrusted with monitoring preparations at the district level. State in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam is coordinating the campaign and reaching out to civil society groups, social organisations and intellectuals, urging them to participate in the rally.

In western Uttar Pradesh, Congress working president and MP Imran Masood has taken charge of mobilisation. He has reportedly conducted more than 30 organisational meetings and visited several districts, appealing to party workers and citizens to join the Delhi rally.

For eastern Uttar Pradesh, senior state vice-presidents Devendra Nishad and Alok Prasad are coordinating zone-wise and district-level meetings to mobilise participants.

Masood alleged that the Union government was attempting to undermine citizens’ constitutional right to vote and said the Congress would oppose any such move.

Rajendra Pal Gautam described the rally as more than a political gathering, calling it a campaign to protect democracy, the Constitution and every citizen’s voting rights.

He said the strength of democracy rested on the people’s vote and protecting this right was the responsibility of every aware citizen. He also asserted that under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, the Constitution and democracy could be safeguarded.

Gautam recalled the recent Supreme Court march led by Rahul Gandhi, in which a significant number of Congress workers from Uttar Pradesh participated, and said the state unit was working to ensure a substantial turnout at the November 1 rally.

Mishra expressed confidence that Congress workers and citizens supporting democratic values from across Uttar Pradesh would participate in large numbers at Ramlila Maidan.

She appealed to party workers to maintain unity, discipline and commitment while participating in the rally and carrying the message of protecting democratic rights to the people.

The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee said its preparations were focused on strengthening organisational coordination, mobilising public participation and highlighting the importance of safeguarding voting rights.
