Lucknow : With the announcement of dates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has revealed her party’s strategy. In a significant move, Mayawati announced that the BSP will contest the by-elections in all nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh independently, without forming alliances.
The nine constituencies where the elections will take place include Sisamau (Kanpur), Karhal (Mainpuri), Kathari (Ambedkar Nagar), Manjhawan (Mirzapur), Ghaziabad Sadar, Khair (Aligarh), Kundarki (Moradabad), Phul (Ghazipur), and Meerapur (Muzaffarnagar).
Mayawati shared the announcement on her social media platform, emphasizing that the BSP is fully prepared and will make a strong claim in the upcoming elections. She appealed to her supporters to remain loyal to the party and continue the struggle guided by the principles of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.
In addition to Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati also confirmed that the BSP would contest the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand independently, underscoring her commitment to the party’s self-reliance in electoral battles. This announcement comes as political parties gear up for a fierce contest in the by-elections, with the BSP aiming to strengthen its position in these key constituencies.
