Focus on accuracy and transparency ahead of 2026 electoral roll update
Lucknow— In line with the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, a crucial training session on the intensive special revision of electoral rolls for Assembly constituencies was held today at the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Collectorate, Lucknow.
The session was chaired by District Magistrate and District Election Officer, Ms. Vishakha G, and aimed at ensuring accuracy, transparency, and inclusiveness in the ongoing electoral roll revision based on the qualifying date of January 1, 2026.
During the training, officials were briefed on the revised guidelines, data verification procedures, and steps to ensure that all eligible voters are duly registered. The focus was on streamlining field-level coordination and resolving discrepancies through a transparent and time-bound process.

Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Shubhi Singh, along with all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), attended the session.
The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and inclusive elections, ensuring that every eligible citizen of Lucknow district is represented in the updated electoral rolls.
