Lucknow: The Lucknow traffic police has announced traffic diversions in view of a proposed VIP programme scheduled for September 25, 2026. The restrictions and alternative routes will remain in force as required until the conclusion of the programme.
According to the traffic advisory, normal traffic from Kunwar Jagdish Chauraha towards Loko Chauraha/K.K.C. Tiraha will be diverted through Jail House Chauraha or Fateh Ali Talab. Traffic from Loko Chauraha towards K.K.C. Tiraha/Ravindralaya will instead be routed through Kunwar Jagdish Chauraha.
Traffic from Gupta Tiraha towards Ravindralaya/K.K.C. will be diverted via Bans Mandi Chauraha, while vehicles from Mohan Hotel Chauraha heading towards K.K.C. Thakur Transport Tiraha will also be routed through Bans Mandi Chauraha.
Traffic from Ravindralaya Tiraha/A.P. Sen Road Tiraha towards the programme venue will be diverted through Bans Mandi Chauraha. Vehicles from Rana Pratap Chauraha will be routed through Bans Mandi and Hewett Road.
Traffic from Nattha Tiraha towards Ravindralaya Tiraha/K.K.C. Tiraha will be diverted via Naka Chauraha and Bans Mandi Chauraha.
Buses departing from Alambagh Bus Stand will not be permitted to travel towards K.K.C. Tiraha via Mawaiya Tiraha. They will instead proceed through Alambagh Tedhi Puliya, Fateh Ali Talab and Kunwar Jagdish Chauraha.
The traffic police said ambulances, hearses, fire service vehicles and school vehicles facing medical or other essential emergencies may be permitted to use restricted routes where no alternative is available, subject to coordination with traffic or local police.
