Lucknow: A vibrant literary gathering was witnessed at the UP Press Club auditorium as the literary organisation Amritayan hosted a “Sahitya Samagam,” featuring the release of three notable works by eminent writers.
The ceremony was graced by chief guest Dr Ganga Prasad Sharma, along with distinguished guests Dr Ram Sagar Yadav, Ram Bahadur Mishra, Dr Shiv Bhajan Kamlesh, and Pandit Aditya Dwivedi.
During the event, three literary works were formally unveiled: “Laut Aao Phir Parindon” (a geet–navgeet collection) by Dr Ashok Agyaani, “Kate Andheri Raat” (a doha collection) by Ramshankar Verma, and “Tum Bhi Patthar Ho Jaoge” (a geet collection) by Pushpendra Premi.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ganga Prasad Sharma highlighted the evolving challenges before contemporary literature while reflecting on Kate Andheri Raat. Senior writer Ramshankar Verma, referring to Pushpendra Premi’s collection, noted that Hindi geet poetry continues to flourish and reach new heights, as reflected in the work. Commenting on Laut Aao Phir Parindon, Dr. Shiv Bhajan Kamlesh observed that Dr. Ashok Agyaani’s navgeet compositions have earned recognition at the national level.
Dr. Ram Sagar Yadav appreciated the constructive literary initiatives undertaken by Amritayan, while Ram Bahadur Mishra, in his अध्यक्षीय address, praised the current literary landscape and its growing dynamism.
Adding a cultural touch to the event, noted folk singer Dr Ranjana Agrahari enthralled the audience by rendering selected pieces from the three books in her melodious voice.
The programme was attended by several literary figures, including Kewal Prasad Satyam, Kumar Taral, Dr Arvind Jha, Dinesh Tiwari, Achlesh Singh, and Sandeep Yadav, along with literature enthusiasts.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Suryaprakash Suraj, while the proceedings were conducted by Rajendra Vishwakarma.
