WITH GUARD OF HONOUR & SPECIAL SAINIK SAMELLAN IN LUCKNOW CANTONMENT
LUCKNOW, 26 MARCH 2025 The three-day 57th Biennial Conference of Army Medical Corps (AMC) organised from 24th Mar 2025, concluded in Lucknow Cantonment with a spectacular Guard of Honour presented to Lt Gen Sadhna Saxena Nair, AVSM, VSM, DGMS (Army) & Senior Colonel Commandant of AMC at Officers’ Training College Parade Ground of AMC Centre & College Lucknow. The contingent was commanded by Lt Col Pankaj Rai and was marked by customary elegance & military precision. DGMS (Army) was accompanied by Lt Gen Shivinder Singh, AVSM, Commandant, AMC Centre & College, OIC AMC Records & Colonel Commandant during the event.
Later, Lt Gen Sadhna Saxena Nair also addressed a Special Sainik Sammelan held at the Open Air Auditorium of AMC Centre & College in Lucknow Cantonment. In her address, Lt Gen Sadhna Saxena Nair emphasized the importance of imparting quality training to Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and Recruits, so that comprehensive and efficient healthcare can be rendered to the Armed Forces Personnel. She also reiterated the need to take pride in being assigned the onerous responsibility of an instructor and becoming the role model for all trainees. The Sainik Sammelan was attended by all AMC Personnel in the station.
On the final day of deliberations of the Biennial Conference, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command addressed and interacted with the delegates along with Course Officers & Recruits sharing his insight and experiences in the morning on 26th Mar 2025. During the event, Lt Gen Sadhna Saxena Nair also presented a memento to Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta.
Earlier, on the late evening of 25th Mar 2025, a Band Symphony was presented by AMC Military Band at AMC Open Air Auditorium. The Symphony was a spectacular fusion of all three bands including the Brass, the Pipe and the Jazz Band presenting contemporary and classical music which enthralled the audience. The Band was led by Subedar Major MS Reddy and assisted by Subedar Major Rajendra Singh and Havildar SB Singh. The performance of AMC Band was appreciated by senior dignitaries of Army, Navy & Air Force and veterans of Army Medical Corps.
