In Sun Neo’s Thodi Si Umeed, Thoda Sa Aasman, Abhijeet finds himself caught in precisely such a dilemma. Talking about the ongoing storyline, Gaurav Bajpai, who plays Abhijeet, said viewers are currently witnessing one of the most difficult phases of his character’s life. Although Abhijeet is in love with Anupriya, family expectations have compelled him to marry Vaidehi. Bajpai explained that Abhijeet does not genuinely want the marriage, but circumstances have placed him in a situation where his family’s responsibilities appear more important than his own happiness.
The actor said the dilemma is relatable because many people in real life make similar sacrifices for their families. However, those who give up their love for their loved ones are often misunderstood, despite the difficult choices they make.
According to Bajpai, this emotional conflict is what makes Abhijeet’s character particularly special. His heart wants one thing, while circumstances are pushing him in an entirely different direction. The actor hinted that the character’s journey will become even more emotionally intense, with difficult decisions, unexpected turns and major conflicts ahead.
