SURGEON VICE ADMIRAL ARTI SARIN PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE BREAVEHEARTS OF ARMY MEDICAL CORPS.

FIRST WOMEN DIRECTOR GENERAL ARMED FORCES MEDICAL SERVICE (DGAFMS) SURGEON VICE ADMIRAL ARTI SARIN ON TWO DAY VISITS TO THE ARMY MEDICAL CORPS CENTRE & COLLEGE, LUCKNOW.

LUCKNOW, 21 NOV 2024The First Women Director General Armed Forces Medical Service (DGAFMS) Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, AVSM, VSM, PHS, visited the Army Medical Corps Centre & College Lucknow on 21 Nov 2024.

During her two-day (21-22 Nov) visit, Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin paid tribute to the war heroes at the cenotaph in the War Memorial ‘Shraddhanjali’ of the AMC Centre & College. She was accompanied by Lt Gen Shivinder Singh, Commandant, AMC Centre and College & OIC Records of AMC.

Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin also addressed the troops in a Special Sainik Sammelan and emphasized the importance of delivering high-quality healthcare services with commitment, zeal and dedication, both during peace and wartime.

The Flag Officer has an impressive background, with an MD in Radiodiagnosis from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and a Diplomate from the National Board in Radiation Oncology from the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She also received training in Gamma Knife surgery from the Pittsburg University USA.

As a trailblazer for women in the Armed Forces, the Flag Officer has inspired many young women to join the forces, embodying the spirit of the government’s “Nari Shakti” initiative.
