Energy Minister Warns Officials: Negligence in Power Supply Will Not Be Tolerated
Lucknow: Strict action has been taken against electricity department officials after a power supply disruption during the public meeting of Uttar Pradesh’s Energy and Urban Development Minister, A.K. Sharma. The incident occurred on Wednesday while the minister was addressing a gathering at Hanuman Ghat locality, Harikeshpura TCI Mod, in Mau district.
Following the power outage, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and Junior Engineer (JE) were immediately suspended. Additionally, the Executive Engineer (EE) was issued a charge sheet, and the Superintending Engineer (SE) was asked to provide an explanation for the failure.
