Agra: The second day of the two-day Chintan Shivir organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India at Hotel JP Palace, Agra concluded. On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Narendra Kashyap was also present.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Narendra Kashyap said that during the camp he met Union Cabinet Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar and Union Minister of State BL Verma. In this meeting, the rights of the disabled and the students of OBC society were discussed and their problems were raised on the main platform. In this camp, various states presented their action plans.
Narendra Kashyap said that the main objective of this Chintan Shivir was to review the progress and implementation of social justice related schemes in the state and union territories.
Its objective was to ensure coordination between the central and state governments and discuss the solutions to the challenges faced.
In the programme, various schemes for the empowerment of OBC society and Divyangjan were reviewed state-wise. Apart from this, an action plan for the National Drug Free India Campaign was also prepared.
