Kolkata: StarBox Studioz has announced that its maiden home-production film, GenZ: The Dark Side, will be released by the end of 2026. The official announcement was made by Anil Das, Managing Director of StarBox Studioz, who confirmed that preparations for the project have been underway for some time.
The film marks the first original movie production from StarBox OTT and is expected to introduce audiences to the platform’s original cinematic content.
Based on the lives and experiences of today’s young generation, GenZ: The Dark Side combines entertainment with a social message. The storyline explores aspects of modern youth life and aims to encourage young audiences to understand the difference between right and wrong.
Anil Das has directed the film, which is produced by StarBox Studioz, with Vijay Jumnani serving as co-producer. Abhishek Shashi Kumar has written the screenplay, while Sharmistha Majumdar is the creative director. Yudhishthir Mahto is handling public relations.
The production house expects the film’s release to mark an important step in its original content journey, with further details about the project and its launch expected to be announced ahead of its release.
