Bareilly – The SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS) emerged as champions of the SRMS Inter-Trust Cricket Tournament after defeating the SRMS College of Engineering and Technology (CET) by 39 runs in a thrilling final match held on Friday. The tournament was played from April 1 to April 4 at the Shri Ram Murti Cricket Stadium, located at SRMS Engineering College, Bareilly.
IPS avenged their earlier defeat to CET in the knockout stage, where they had lost by five wickets. Fast bowler Farman from IPS, who took four wickets in the final, was named Man of the Match for his stellar performance.
Despite their loss in the final, CET’s Suryapratap Singh was awarded Man of the Tournament for his consistent all-round performance—scoring 85 runs and taking 9 wickets across four matches.
The Best Batsman of the Tournament title went to Mohammad Kaif from IPS, who amassed 102 runs in four matches. CET’s Mohammad Adnan Ansari, with 11 wickets, bagged the Best Bowler of the Tournament, while Farman, who took six catches, was also awarded the Best Fielder title.

Winning the toss, CET captain Rohit Gangwar invited IPS to bat first. IPS posted a competitive total of 149/9 in 20 overs. Key contributions came from:

In response, CET’s batting faltered early, losing their first wicket on the second ball of the innings. They struggled to recover and were eventually bowled out for 110 runs in 18.2 overs. Only Suryapratap Singh (31 runs off 36 balls) and Aakash (26 not out off 14 balls, 5 fours) managed to offer some resistance. Harshit Sharma added a quickfire 18 runs off 9 balls, including one four and two sixes.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by SRMS Trust Founder and Chairman Shri Dev Murti, Trust Secretary Aditya Murti, CET Principal Dr. Prabhakar Gupta, and IMS Principal Air Marshal (Retd.) Dr. M.S. Butola, who handed over the championship trophy to IPS captain Kaif, and awarded individual prizes to outstanding players across categories.
