Lucknow: The SR Group of Institutions, located in Bakshi Ka Talab, hosted the alumni meet “Sangam 2024” with great enthusiasm today. The event saw the presence of distinguished guests such as Kaushal Kishore (Minister of Housing and Urban Development), Sanjay Nishad (Minister of Fisheries, Government of Uttar Pradesh), Swatantra Dev Singh (Minister of Jal Shakti), and Manvendra Singh (Speaker of the Assembly). Additionally, Sushil Agarwal, the owner of Gobind Thresher, was also among the chief guests.
This occasion honored former students of SR Group from the years 2012 to 2023, with a total of 1492 alumni in attendance. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by a Ganesh Vandana. The Chairman of the institution and MLC, Pawan Singh Chauhan, remarked, “The time you spent studying at this institution was a period of creating your future. You received education from your mentors and made lifelong friends. Today, you have returned self-reliant, and all the mentors of the institution welcome you with pride. Your name, honor, and respect will always be associated with this institution.”
Swatantra Dev Singh (Minister of Jal Shakti) mentioned that all the students are employed somewhere and are contributing to nation-building, calling upon them to help India become the third-largest economy.
Sanjay Nishad (Minister of Fisheries) emphasized that continuous hard work and study lead to success, irrespective of the field. The honor and respect earned through hard work and knowledge stay with you for life. You are all fortunate to study at such a high-standard institution, which holds 100% classes every year and wins many gold, silver, and bronze medals in education and sports from Abdul Kalam Technical University. Seeing you all here assures me that you are making your institution, mentors, parents, and the institution proud.
The Vice Chairman of the institution, Piyush Singh Chauhan, stated, “Our institution has now become a university, and the number of students attending the alumni meet will continue to grow each year, and your support will help students build a bright future.”
Vice Chairperson Sushmita Singh said, “SR Group is and will continue to provide all opportunities for students to learn and grow.”
Following this, several cultural programs were held, including dances, ramp walks, and musical performances by MBA students, which delighted the alumni.
Chairman Pawan Singh Chauhan (MLC) honored all the alumni students with certificates of appreciation and gifts and presented mementos to all the distinguished guests.
