Lucknow: Vijay Kumar Lal Vijay Srivastava, patron of the Samtavadi United Kayastha Morcha and Uttar Pradesh coordinator of the Kayastha Samanvay Samiti, Vishwa Kayastha Sansthan, has said that the holistic development of Uttar Pradesh can be achieved only through the socialist ideology of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan.
Describing Jayaprakash Narayan as a strong voice for oppressed and marginalised communities, Srivastava said his ideas remain relevant in the present political and social environment.
Kayastha Community Supports Progressive Ideology
Srivastava said the Kayastha community has traditionally stood for progressive thinking, respect for all religions and the creation of an egalitarian society. He noted that the principles of social equality and dignity for every section of society are closely aligned with the ideals of Jayaprakash Narayan.
Akhilesh Yadav Hailed as Visionary Leader
Praising Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Srivastava described him as a visionary leader who follows the socialist principles of Jayaprakash Narayan.
He said that during his tenure as Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav ensured that the ideals and legacy of Jayaprakash Narayan were preserved through the construction of the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC) in Lucknow.
BJP Government Accused of Undermining JPNIC
Srivastava alleged that the BJP government had “sold” the prestigious institution and accused the party of being opposed to Jayaprakash Narayan’s ideology.
He said the socialist leader had consistently championed the rights of oppressed and deprived sections of society and worked towards strengthening their voice.
Government Criticised Over Corruption and Unemployment
Targeting the BJP government, Srivastava alleged that corruption, inflation and unemployment continued to trouble the people of Uttar Pradesh. He claimed that ordinary citizens were facing hardship under the current administration.
Call for Unity Among Supporters of JP Ideology
Srivastava appealed to people who believe in Jayaprakash Narayan’s socialist ideology to unite and work towards strengthening the Samajwadi Party.
He claimed that the SP alone has the potential to deliver economic and social development in Uttar Pradesh and free the people from exploitation and oppression.
His remarks underline the political importance of socialist ideals and the continuing debate over the legacy of Jayaprakash Narayan in Uttar Pradesh’s political discourse.
