Bareilly: The second leg of the ongoing Children and Youth Festival at SRMS Riddhima featured a vibrant solo dance competition titled ‘Kal Ke Kalakar’, showcasing exceptional talent from across the Bareilly division.
A total of 52 participants from nearly 20 schools, colleges, and institutes took part in the competition, presenting captivating performances across junior and senior categories. In the junior category, Adya Patel from Hartmann College secured the first position, followed by Gurnoor Kaur from Riddhima in second place and Pihu Chaudhary from Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra in third. Special mentions were awarded to Avyan from Dancekriti Institute and Pakhi Rastogi from GRM School for their notable performances.
In the senior category, Mahi Kataria from Riddhima clinched the top spot, while Nitya Jain, also from Riddhima, secured second place. Twara Arya from Gautam Buddha University finished third.
The winners were felicitated by SRMS Trust Founder and Chairman Dev Murti, who congratulated the participants and encouraged them to pursue their artistic passions with dedication.
The competition was judged by Devisha Murti, Ruchi Shah, and Dr. Ashish Kumar, who evaluated participants based on technique, expression, and creativity. The event witnessed the presence of trustees Asha Murti, Richa Murti, and Usha Gupta, along with faculty members of Riddhima.

The programme was anchored by Anshu Kumar Sharma. Speaking on the occasion, Centre Head Dr. Ashish Kumar announced upcoming events in the festival series, including a band war ‘Electra’ on May 1, theatre competition ‘Stage Spark’ on May 8, painting workshop ‘Rangodaya’ on May 15, and photography competition ‘Insta Reels’ on May 22.
The event highlighted the growing enthusiasm among youth for performing arts and provided a dynamic platform for emerging talent.
