Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Begins with Grand Kalash Yatra in Gonda

Gonda: The Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Gyan Yagya began in Gonda on Sunday with a grand Kalash Yatra, marking the auspicious start of the week-long religious programme organised by the Mahadev Prasad Mukut Lal Modi family.

The procession began at Shri Ram Janaki Marwari Dharamshala in Rani Bazar and passed through Rani Bazar and Agrasen Chauraha before returning to the venue. Devotees danced and celebrated to devotional songs while raising chants in praise of Lord Krishna. The procession created a deeply spiritual atmosphere across the route.

Renowned storyteller Acharya Balkrishna Bhargava Ji Maharaj from Prayagraj has specially arrived to deliver the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. Devotees will have the opportunity to listen to his narration of the sacred stories and teachings associated with Lord Krishna.

Organiser Pankaj Modi said the Katha will be held daily from September 13 to September 19, from 3 pm to 7 pm. The programme will conclude with the Purnahuti ceremony on September 20.

He said the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha offers a unique confluence of knowledge, devotion and Indian cultural traditions, with a large number of devotees expected to participate.

Among those present during the Kalash Yatra were Pankaj Modi, Deepak Modi, Little Modi, Dr Sumit Modi, Ramesh Agrawal, Sanjay Agrawal, Ricky Agrawal, Anup Agrawal, Gopal Didwania, Vijay Agrawal, Sarthak Modi, Hariram Nevatia, Vimal Kejriwal, Premlata Modi, Saloni Modi, Sarla Didwania, Nirmala Kariwal, Shivangi Modi, Goldie Agrawal, Seema Agrawal and Neetu Modi, along with a large number of devotees.
