Tripura: RSS chief on Tripura tour for five days from May 23 . Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) supremo Mohan Bhagwat will visit Tripura for five days from May 23 and participate in several programs.
Sources said on Tuesday that Bhagwat will stay at Khayerpur Seva Dham in West Tripura and participate in several programs before departing from the state on May 28.
Chief Minister Manik Saha, senior BJP leaders and ministers will meet the RSS Sarsanghchalak and discuss the current political issues of Tripura.
He will meet pracharaks from the northeastern region.
Political observers believe that Bhagwat’s visit to the northeastern state is important ahead of the counting of Lok Sabha votes on June 4, as the RSS is expanding its base in the Northeast.
Security has been further tightened in Khayerpur Seva Dham areas of West Tripura in view of the RSS chief’s visit.
