Rashtra Sevika Samiti Holds Sankalp Diwas in Sitapur, Focuses on Women’s Empowerment and Nation Building

Sitapur: Rashtra Sevika Samiti organised its Sankalp Diwas programme at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Prem Nagar, Sitapur, bringing together women members to reaffirm their commitment to social service, cultural values and nation building. The event featured discussions on the organisation’s activities, women’s leadership, and their role in strengthening society and the nation.

The programme commenced with floral tributes to the portraits of the organisation’s founder Vandaniya Lakshmibai Kelkar (Mausi Ji), Bharat Mata and Saraswati Tai Apte, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Participants then reviewed the Samiti’s ongoing initiatives and deliberated on future programmes and organisational plans.

Speakers at the event highlighted the organisation’s continued efforts to promote self-confidence, discipline, leadership qualities and patriotism among women. They emphasised that the Samiti seeks to empower women through service-oriented activities and value-based social initiatives while encouraging their active participation in community development and national progress.

During the meeting, members also outlined upcoming activities and appealed to more women and young girls to join the organisation. Participants collectively resolved to contribute actively to social welfare and nation-building initiatives through dedicated service.

Among those present were Dr Deepika Pandey, Mohini Mishra, Pankaj Vaidya, Advocate Poonam Mishra, Lakshmi Mishra, Kiran, Anshu and Uma, along with several other women volunteers and members of the organisation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the singing of the national song, marking the successful conclusion of the Sankalp Diwas celebrations.
