Rohtak: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim was released from Rohtak’s Sunaria jail after getting 20 days parole. During his release on parole, he will stay in UP’s Barnawa Ashram.
Congress had objected to Ram Rahim’s parole and wrote a letter to the Election Commission saying that it is not right to give parole to Ram Rahim at this time, it can affect the voting.
Ram Rahim left for UP from jail amid tight security. There was a ruckus outside Sunaria jail at around 5 am on Wednesday and the security of the jail premises was also increased. After attendance at around 6:30 am, Ram Rahim was released from jail amid tight police security. Recently, Ram Rahim returned to jail on September 4 after completing 21 days of furlough.
Several conditions imposed on parole
The Election Commission has also imposed some conditions on Ram Rahim’s parole. During the parole period, he will not stay in Haryana, nor will he be active on social media and will stay away from election activities. Parole will be cancelled immediately if the conditions are violated.
Now he can get parole only next year
Congress had also objected to Ram Rahim’s release on Tuesday and complained to the Election Commission, but late night the government issued orders for Ram Rahim’s release and in the morning the administration released him. The administration has argued that according to the jail manual, Ram Rahim has been given parole as per the rules and this year Ram Rahim had 20 days of parole left. Like a prisoner, he will now get parole next year.
