Lucknow: The Railway Ramlila Dussehra Committee and Bharat Milap Shobha Yatra in Alambagh staged key episodes from the Ramayana, including the search for Sita, the friendship between Lord Ram and Sugriva, Bali Vadh, Ashok Vatika and the confrontation between Ravana and Hanuman.
The performance depicted Lord Ram and Lakshman travelling through forests in search of Sita before reaching Kishkindha, where they met Hanuman. Hanuman introduced the two brothers to Sugriva, leading to an alliance between them. Sugriva narrated how his brother Bali had driven him out of his kingdom. Lord Ram assured Sugriva of his support and, fulfilling his promise, killed Bali.

The next sequence portrayed Hanuman travelling to Lanka on Lord Ram’s instructions to locate Sita and learn about her well-being. After meeting Sita in Ashok Vatika, Hanuman created havoc in the garden, uprooting trees and destroying the surroundings. In a lively moment, he also plucked fruits from the garden and distributed them among the spectators, drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience.
The performances brought important episodes of the epic to life through dialogue, action and devotional storytelling.

Satyam Yadav played Lord Ram, Harshit Sonkar portrayed Lakshman, Ayush played Sita, and Manoj Srivastava appeared as Hanuman. Virendra Sharma played Ravana, Manas Pathak portrayed Meghnath, Jagjit Singh played Sugriva, and Mridul Mishra essayed the role of Bali.
