Talking about what sets the film apart from other content currently available on OTT platforms, Dinesh said, “I think there are several things that make Heer Sara stand apart. To begin with, Maanvi Gagroo and Patralekhaa have delivered wonderful performances. Their chemistry and the way they have brought Heer and Sara to life are integral to the film.”

He also highlighted the role of music and director Kartik Chaudhary in shaping the film. “Then there is the music, which has a very strong emotional connection with the story, and of course, Kartik Chaudhary’s direction.”
However, Dinesh believes the biggest strength of Heer Sara remains its story. “But for me, the biggest USP is the story itself. It is an unconventional story that takes you in a direction you may not expect. The climax, in particular, makes you pause and think, ‘Yes… this could happen too. That element of unpredictability is one of the key strengths of the film.”
The producer also feels that the central visual of two women getting on a bike and setting out on a journey captures the spirit of the film. “And above everything else, I think the image of two girls getting on a bike and setting out on a journey is incredibly powerful. It represents freedom, courage, curiosity and the desire to find answers. That sense of courage and the unexpected journey is, for me, what makes Heer Sara different.”
With the film now reaching a wider audience on Amazon Prime, Dinesh said he hopes viewers connect with the emotional journey of the two protagonists. “More than anything, I want audiences to experience the courage of Heer and Sara. I hope people who watch the film connect with that feeling of being stuck in their own questions, confusions and perceptions, and realise that sometimes the only way to find an answer is to step out and look for it.”

Dinesh also hopes the film evokes a range of emotions and encourages viewers to look at their own lives differently. “I would love for the film to make people laugh, feel, think and, somewhere along the way, perhaps look at their own lives a little differently.”
At the same time, he said that Heer Sara is not intended to dictate how people should live their lives. “Heer Sara is not trying to tell you how to live your life. It simply says that if something is troubling you, don’t be afraid to face it. Don’t just accept every situation because it seems easier. Sometimes, you have to take that first step.”
For Dinesh, the film will have achieved something meaningful if it inspires even one person to confront a question or situation they have been avoiding. “If, after watching the film, someone feels inspired to get up, step out of their comfort zone and find an answer to something that has been troubling them, I think Heer Sara would have achieved something truly meaningful.”
After the long road from production to theatres and now OTT, Soni is also excited about the film reaching a much larger audience. “And of course, I am excited that after this long journey, the film is finally reaching a much larger audience through Amazon Prime. I hope people watch it, connect with it and make it a part of their own journey.”
