New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that the issue of vacating Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) now needs to be resolved with Pakistan. He said that Pakistan’s policy of cross-border terrorism will never succeed and its actions will “definitely have consequences.”
The External Affairs Minister stressed that it is (Pakistan’s) “karma” that its evils are now swallowing its own society. Addressing the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Jaishankar said that now only one issue remains to be resolved between India and Pakistan that Pakistan should vacate the illegally occupied Indian territory and give up its long-term engagement with terrorism.
He said, “Many countries are left behind due to circumstances beyond their control, but some countries deliberately take such decisions, the consequences of which are disastrous. The biggest example of this is our neighboring country Pakistan.”
The External Affairs Minister said, “Today we are seeing that the troubles that it (Pakistan) tried to bring on others are swallowing its own society. He cannot blame the world. It is only karma.” Jaishankar said Pakistan’s policy of cross-border terrorism will never succeed and it cannot be forgiven in any way.
