PM Modi skips Ballia as campaign juggernaut rolls on

PM Modi

Ballia:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not come to Ballia to campaign in favour of party candidate Neeraj Shekhar from Ballia, an important parliamentary seat of Purvanchal. He sought votes for NDA candidates from Ballia, Ghosi and Salempur from Ratanpura in Mau district. This is the first occasion after 2009 when Modi did not come to Ballia for election campaign.

However, many BJP stalwarts including the prominent face of Hindutva, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have come to Ballia to seek public support for a hat-trick of victory. While being the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi (PM Modi) came to address a public meeting in favour of the then candidate Manoj Sinha at the Ballia district headquarters in 2009.

As a PM candidate, Narendra Modi (PM Modi) concluded his election campaign of 44 days in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Ballia. However, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he came four days before the end of the election campaign. But this time, due to Modi not coming in the boundary of Ballia Lok Sabha, there is definitely some disappointment among the BJP workers, but they are also overjoyed with the message coming out of the Ratanpura meeting.

It is believed that Modi has created an atmosphere in favour of the NDA candidates by holding a joint public meeting for the candidates of Ghosi, Ballia and Salempur in Ratanpura. Now he will hardly come to Ballia, because very few days are left in the election campaign. However, apart from Prime Minister Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda has already come to Janari on 22 May. Chief Minister Yogi came to Bairia on 25 May.

If sources are to be believed, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also been demanded by the BJP candidate. LJP President Chirag Paswan has also been demanded. Many more celebrity faces have been demanded.
