New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi went to Rashtrapati Bhavan and resigned from the post of Prime Minister.
President Draupadi Murmu accepted the resignation.
He will remain the caretaker PM till the new government is formed. TDP and JDU will submit letters of support to BJP in Delhi today, then NDA will stake claim to form the next government.
NDA meeting will be held on 7 June, PM Modi will be elected as the leader of the parliamentary party.
Narendra Modi can take oath as Prime Minister on the evening of 8 June.
