Noida Youth Found Dead in Lucknow Hotel Room; Police Probe Underway

Lucknow: A 27-year-old youth from Noida was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a hotel room in Vibhuti Khand area of Lucknow late Thursday night, police said.

The deceased, identified as Sudhir, had arrived in Lucknow with four companions, including a woman, on a leisure trip. According to preliminary information, he stayed back in the hotel room on Thursday evening while his friends went out for a good time. When they returned late at night and repeatedly knocked on the door, there was no response.

Upon entering the room, they found Sudhir unconscious on the bed with froth coming out of his mouth, raising suspicion of possible consumption of a toxic substance. He was immediately rushed to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police from Vibhuti Khand Police Station reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Inspector Amar Singh stated that no formal complaint has been received from the family so far. “The cause of death is not yet clear. Further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and any complaint filed by the family,” he said.

Authorities are also questioning the youth’s friends and examining hotel records as part of the probe. While initial suspicion points toward poisoning, officials have not ruled out other possibilities.

The incident has raised concerns over safety and monitoring in hotels, especially involving outstation visitors. Police have assured a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the youth’s death.
