Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh – The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, is going all out to make the 2024 Maha Kumbh the biggest and most memorable event in the history of Sanatan Dharma. The government has made extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for millions of devotees from across the country and abroad.
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally visited Maha Kumbh Nagar on Thursday to inspect the preparations. The Chief Minister’s visit comes as the final touches are being added to the infrastructure and arrangements at Sangam, where the religious rituals are set to take place.
Special Puja Arrangements for Devotees at Sangam
One of the major updates from the Chief Minister’s inspection is the arrangement for seamless puja services at the Sangam. To avoid inconvenience, Brahmins, priests, and pandas will be stationed at the location to assist devotees in performing the rituals, ensuring that they do not have to wander in search of the right spot for puja.
Women-Centric Safety Measures
In a bid to ensure the safety and comfort of women devotees, 12 special units are being created at Sangam. These units, designed with a length of 25 meters and width of 6 meters, will provide a dedicated space for women, including provisions for changing rooms. SDM Maha Kumbh Nagar, Abhinav Pathak, explained that these units will ensure that women visitors, coming from all over the world, do not face any issues while performing their sacred bath at Sangam.
Infrastructure Revamp: Floating Jetties and Flower Decorations
Additionally, the government is removing old, dilapidated boats at the Sangam and replacing them with floating jetties, ensuring a safer and more efficient river transport system. These jetties will be adorned with special flowers to make the atmosphere at the Sangam even more spiritual and visually appealing.
The Yogi government’s proactive approach in preparing for the Maha Kumbh is a testament to its commitment to making the event a grand success. With the necessary arrangements underway, the government is ensuring that every devotee has a fulfilling and smooth experience during the world’s largest spiritual gathering.
As the event draws nearer, the anticipation continues to grow, with both domestic and international visitors eagerly awaiting their turn to take part in the sacred rituals at Sangam.
