Mumbai: Bollywood is gearing up for a fresh wave of talent as a slew of star kids prepare to make their debut in the film industry. Among them are Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan, who are both poised to make their mark in 2025.
Rasha Thadani, the daughter of actress Raveena Tandon, is set to debut in the action-adventure film Azaad, which is set in pre-independence India. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, known for introducing talents like Sara Ali Khan in Kedarnath and Sushant Singh Rajput in Kai Po Che!, Rasha’s entry into Bollywood has already garnered attention due to her high-profile presence in the public eye and a massive following on Instagram. She stars alongside Aaman Devgan, the nephew of actor Ajay Devgn, who also has a brief role in the movie. Aaman, who comes from a family deeply entrenched in the film industry, has kept a low profile, making his on-screen debut in Azaad an exciting prospect for viewers who will judge him without any preconceived notions.
Rasha and Aaman’s debuts are only the beginning of what is expected to be a year of fresh faces in Bollywood. Another name to watch out for is Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. Ibrahim, who previously worked as an assistant director on Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani (2023), is now stepping into the spotlight with his lead role in Sarzameen, directed by Kayoze Irani. Additionally, he has secured his second project, Diler, a drama about a marathon runner, which has already sparked interest.
While star kids often follow in their parents’ footsteps, Aryan Khan, the son of Shah Rukh Khan, has taken a different route. Rather than pursue acting, Aryan has chosen to write and direct, marking a refreshing departure from tradition. His debut web series, Stardom, will soon premiere on Netflix, focusing on the entertainment industry’s behind-the-scenes challenges. With Aryan’s unique approach to storytelling and his father’s influence, Stardom is expected to resonate with audiences, offering a glimpse into the ambitions of an outsider trying to make it in Bollywood.
In addition to these rising stars, January will also see the debut of Veer Pahariya, the younger brother of Janhvi Kapoor’s partner, Shikhar Pahariya. Veer’s first film, Sky Force, an aerial action movie starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur, will showcase his acting talents alongside Sara Ali Khan.
With a diverse array of young talent entering the industry, 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Bollywood’s next generation.
