Mumbai: Star Plus’ popular family drama Udne Ki Aasha is entering one of its most emotional phases with a dramatic seven-year leap that promises new beginnings, long-buried secrets and heartfelt family relationships.
The upcoming storyline unfolds after a tragic medical emergency during the pregnancies of Sayali and Roshni results in the accidental swapping of their newborns. Believing that their child did not survive, Sayali and Sachin are forced to rebuild their lives, unaware that their son is alive and being raised by Roshni and Tejas. Seven years later, the couple has started afresh in Ganpatipule with their daughter, Poorna. As the children grow up, hidden truths gradually begin to surface, setting the stage for an emotional journey filled with love, loss, family bonds and unexpected revelations.
Sharing her thoughts on the show’s new chapter, actress Neha Harsora, who plays Sayali, said the leap has added emotional depth to her character and offered her a fresh perspective as a performer.
“When I first heard about the leap, I became quite emotional because it reminded me how unpredictable life can be. We all make plans and dream about the future, but sometimes destiny has something entirely different in store. Reading Sayali’s journey after seven years made me realise just how much she has endured, yet she still finds the strength to move forward,” Neha said.
She added that many of the scenes stayed with her long after filming because of their emotional intensity.

“The children on set remind me of my own childhood. Their innocence, energy and playful nature bring back so many wonderful memories. Working with them has been a truly heartwarming experience,” she said.
Neha believes audiences will discover a new side of Sayali as the story progresses.
“This new chapter is full of emotions and surprises. Viewers will get to see Sayali in a completely different light, and I’m excited for them to be part of this journey,” she added.
With its compelling post-leap narrative, Udne Ki Aasha is set to explore the enduring strength of family ties while revealing the life-changing secrets that have remained hidden for years.
