Nainital: Nainital Bank United Forum has called for a nationwide strike on 9 September 2024 regarding its main demands related to stopping disinvestment and merger of Nainital Bank with Bank of Baroda.
Nainital Bank Officers Association official Nisha Kamath told The Lucknow Tribune in a special conversation that the employee organizations of Nainital Bank had submitted their memorandum of demands to the bank management on 8 August 2024 under the Nainital Bank United Forum, on which no solution could be found on the demands of the employees in two mediation meetings by the Assistant Labor Commissioner (Central) and the meeting called by the bank management on August 30, due to which there is great resentment among the employees.
Now the employee organizations have called for a one-day national strike on the coming 9 September on their strike notice of 8 August. The national unions AIBEA (All India Bank Employees Association) and AIBOA (All India Bank Officers Association) have fully supported the Nainital Bank United Forum for the upcoming strike.
