Municipal Corporation’s Active Measures

The municipal administration has issued instructions to all zonal officers, ZSO (Zonal Sanitation Officers), and SFI (Sanitation Inspectors) to prioritize cleanliness in all temples and major religious sites within their respective wards. The Municipal Commissioner has emphasized that due to the large influx of devotees during Navratri, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene is of utmost importance.

Municipal sanitation teams have been mobilized across all city wards. A special cleanliness drive will be conducted twice daily, in the morning and evening, to ensure that temple premises remain free of litter and provide a clean environment for worshippers.

Focus on Health and Hygiene

The Municipal Corporation has also instructed that lime powder be sprinkled in and around temples. This step will not only help maintain cleanliness but also prevent infections and foul odors. Additionally, provisions have been made for installing dustbins near temples and proper waste management to ensure a cleaner environment.

Officials have also ensured that waterlogged areas receive special cleaning to prevent diseases like dengue and malaria. Furthermore, insecticides will be sprayed on streets and alleys to curb the spread of diseases.

Convenience for Devotees

This initiative by the Municipal Corporation will provide devotees with a clean and safe environment for worship. Temple committees and local residents have welcomed this decision. Municipal authorities have also urged citizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness and to dispose of waste only in designated places.

Continuous Vigilance by the Municipal Corporation

The special cleanliness drive will continue throughout Navratri. Continuous monitoring will be carried out to ensure the cleanliness of temples and public places. Municipal officials will personally inspect the areas, and strict action will be taken against any negligence by staff members.
