Lucknow: Motivagers Club in association with Shalimar Gateway Mall celebrated Independence Day Jashn-e-azadi. Hundreds of retired officers from different sections of the city participated in the program. Be it children or elders, everyone celebrated Independence Day with joy. Some expressed their patriotism with their songs, some with their dance performances and some with self-composed poetry.
Independence Day celebrations with patriotic songs and dance performances throughout made everyone elated and proud.
The program started with Saraswati Vandana by the children of Vrinda Shri Music Academy. Followed by performance by Neeraj Sharma and his group on song ‘Ae Watan’ together in unison, everyone accompanied them with applause. Students of Spring Dale won the hearts of the people present there with their group dance. After the dance performance of the children, the senior citizens of the club also gave their performances. To express their patriotism, children and elders, everyone gave their own special performances and created an atmosphere of patriotism in the entire mall.
Chief guest Spring dale Director Rita Khanna on the occasion said: ‘ It was really pleasure to be part of such a wonderful programme. Motivagers Club is doing wonderful work by connecting senior citizens and youngsters, Gaurav is probably only student I remember who is doing such innovative work in this social sector. We Spring dalians believe in contributing to such initiatives that bring positive change in the society.’
Director Shalimar Gateway mall Kunal Seth stated ‘This young adult fusion is truly wonderful and we are elated to be part of this Jashn-e-azadi programme. Energy of seniors is worth watching and we would love to be part of such initiatives in future as well.’
Everyone enjoyed theme of Jashn-e-Azadi
Since it is the occasion of Jashn-e-Azadi, everyone followed the theme and dressed up in white orange and green. While men held the tricolor in their hands, women wore tricolor bangles in their hands and some were seen in tricolor dupattas. And since everyone followed the theme very well, a competition for the best theme-based dress was organized. In which Motivators Club member Renu Rastogi was the winner.
To make the program more exciting, quiz competition, guess the slogan, guess the picture and many other games were also organized for the people present there.
Drawing competition for kids
A drawing competition was organized for the children present in the mall in which they were asked to make sketches on the theme of independence and patriotism. In which Adhira Singhal, Anushka Yadav and Ayushmann Shukla became the winners by making the most attractive sketch.
All the people present there participated in the Guess the Slogan and Quiz competition, in which Ditya Sharma, Ayush Mann and Rajdeep Yadav were the winners by answering the most questions correctly.
The club’s founder Gaurav Chhabra congratulated everyone and said that the celebration of Independence Day has started from today and it will continue for many days, everyone from children to the elderly all contributed and also gave a good support by inspiring other people. Gaurav further said that will continue to do such programs for the society in future as well.
Ankit Chhabra, Saumya Singh, Aastha Singh, Pragati Pandey, Rachit Singh and Karan Mehrotra helped in organizing this program successfully.
