Gonda: Self-defence training, leadership development and life skills activities were organised at Upper Primary School, Belwa Nohar, in the Parsipur area under Mission Shakti Phase 6.0, aiming to empower students, particularly girls, with practical safety skills, confidence and decision-making abilities.
Science teacher Manoj Kumar Chaturvedi explained that self-defence training equips children with practical skills to protect themselves in situations involving danger or violence. He said the training helps girls remain alert, assess their surroundings and identify potential threats at an early stage.

Trainer Akhilesh Kumar Singh demonstrated simple and effective physical techniques, including kicks, punches, methods of freeing oneself from someone’s grip and joint-locking techniques. The session aimed to help students respond appropriately to threatening situations and develop greater confidence in their ability to protect themselves.
Headmaster Shravan Kumar Singh said self-defence training also strengthens mental preparedness, enabling children to remain calm, act courageously and make appropriate decisions during difficult situations.
