Lucknow: In a move to make healthcare services more accessible, Medanta Lucknow has launched the ‘Home Sample Collection’ service. Under the initiative, ‘Medanta Labs’ will facilitate sample collection from patients’ homes within 60 minutes, reducing the need for hospital visits.
The service was inaugurated near Shaheed Path, Power House, Hariharpur, Lucknow. Chief guest Dr. Ram Kirti Saran emphasized that this initiative is a significant step toward making healthcare services available to every household. He stated, “This service will be especially beneficial for senior citizens, critically ill patients, and those with busy lifestyles. With just a phone call, patients can now avail of diagnostic services from the comfort of their homes, saving time and effort.”
Patients can access this service through online booking or the customer care helpline. Once a booking is made, a trained field agent from the hospital will be dispatched to collect the sample with utmost care and hygiene.
The service offers several advantages, including rapid sample collection, swift report generation, and adherence to high hygiene and safety standards by trained professionals.
Rahul Singh, who is overseeing the service, stated, “This initiative will enable patients to receive top-quality healthcare services at home.” This facility is particularly beneficial for those who are unable to visit the hospital due to time constraints or health conditions.
