Mayor reviews operation by LMC to free city from encroachment

Lucknow: As per the instructions of Municipal Commissioner  Inderjit Singh, intensive campaigns are being run continuously to take action against illegal occupants and to free government lands/properties from encroachment. So far, various government lands/properties worth crores of rupees, which were under encroachment for a long time, have been vacated. In the same sequence, the details of the places under the Municipal Corporation where action was taken against illegal occupants by freeing government lands from encroachment today are as follows:-

1– Village-Hariharpur, Tehsil Sarojini Nagar and District-Lucknow, Khasra number-290 area 0.089 pond and Khasra number-232 area 0.667 hectare are recorded as barren in the revenue records, which is a property vested in the Municipal Corporation.

The illegal encroachments found temporarily on the above Khasra numbers have been removed peacefully with the help of sufficient police force provided by  Inderjit Singh, Municipal Commissioner and  Pankaj Srivastava, Additional Municipal Commissioner, in accordance with the orders of  Sanjay Yadav, In-charge Officer (Property),  Sanjay Singh Kanaujia, Tehsildar,  Neeraj Katiyar, Naib Tehsildar,  Avinash Chandra Tiwari, Revenue Inspector and Accountant  Anoop Gupta,  Subhash Gupta,  Rajendra Yadav,  Sandeep Yadav (II),  Vinod Verma,  Sudhanshu Srivastava Accountant and Police Station Head of Sushant Golf City Police Station and the ETF team of the Municipal Corporation. 17,570.00 sq. ft. land was freed from the said illegal encroachments, whose market value is Rs. 6,14,00,000.00.

2—Today, a meeting was called by the  Mayor to review the works under the Property Department. Municipal Commissioner, Additional Municipal Commissioner (PS), Incharge Officer (Property) and all the officers and Lekhpals of the Property Department were present in the said review meeting. In the said meeting, instructions were given to take immediate action on the illegal encroachments found on government lands vested in the Municipal Corporation, especially on pond lands and other government lands. Also, instructions were given to identify all the ponds coming under the Municipal Corporation area and to propose action for converting them into ponds. Along with this, instructions were given to ensure the action of barbed wire fencing/boundary wall for securing the government lands.
