Lucknow: The surveillance team of Police Commissionerate Lucknow and Thana Naka Hindola Police have arrested the accused of kidnapping and raping a minor girl. The victim has also been recovered safely.
According to information received from the police, on 18 November 2024, the accused Aamir (25) lured the minor girl, Kalpana (name changed), and took her away from Lucknow to Banaras. The complainant, the victim’s brother, lodged a case at Thana Naka. In the complaint, an FIR (FIR No. 143/24) was registered under Sections 87 and 137 (2) BNS.
In Banaras, the accused took the victim to a hotel and raped her forcibly and later took her to Surat. The police recovered the victim safely on November 24 with the joint efforts of the surveillance team and Thana Naka police. After the statement and medical examination of the victim, sections (3/4) of the POCSO Act were added to the case. The accused was planning to leave Lucknow. Meanwhile, the police arrested him near Aishbagh railway station on November 26, 2024 at 5:30 am.
