Varanasi: The country’s first third gender Mahamandaleshwar Hemangi Sakhi will contest from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has given ticket to Hemangi Sakhi from Banaras. She will reach Banaras on April 12 and will start her election campaign by taking blessings of Baba Vishwanath.
Mahamandaleshwar Hemangi Sakhi said that the condition of transgender community in the entire country is pathetic. Not a single seat has been reserved for the transgender community. How will the transgender community present its views in the Lok Sabha and Assembly? Who will lead the eunuch society? For the betterment of the transgender community, I have turned from religion to politics.
Hemangi Sakhi said that we are not against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he has also done the work of religion. Our only effort is to ensure that our words reach the ears of the government. That is why it has been decided to contest elections from Varanasi parliamentary seat.
Government forgot Ardhanarishwar
Mahamandaleshwar said that the government has given the slogan of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. We appreciate it, daughters are the embodiment of the mother of the world but the government has forgotten Ardhanarishwar. We also want to hear this slogan, when will that day come? Central Government has released Transgender Portal but do eunuchs know about it? Those who are begging on the streets do not even know that there is a portal for them.

He raised the question that when the government released the portal, why did it not publicize it? Nothing is achieved by making a gender board. The government will have to reserve seats for the transgender community, only then will the situation change. If today the BJP government had kept its doors open for eunuchs, perhaps Mahamandaleshwar Hemangi Sakhi would not have had to take this step.
Hindu Mahasabha has declared me as a candidate to bring eunuchs into the mainstream and to put forward my views before the society. Every party in the country will have to take this initiative.
