Lucknow Police Conducts Awareness Drive Under Mission Shakti Phase-5

Lucknow: In continuation of the Uttar Pradesh Government’s campaign for women empowerment, the Lucknow Police, under the leadership of the Police Commissioner, conducted an extensive awareness drive as part of the fifth phase of “Mission Shakti”.

The drive focused on empowering women and girls by informing them about their rights, safety measures, and government helplines aimed at ensuring their security and well-being. The awareness programs were organized at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School in the Thana Madiyanv area, as well as Basic Shiksha Vidyalaya Barigawan Sarafa and City Modern Academy Vijaynagar in the Thana Krishnanagar area.

Key Highlights: Women and children were educated about critical helplines, including:

  • Women Power Helpline (1090)
  • UP-112 (Emergency Services)
  • Child Helpline (1098)
  • Mahila Helpline (181)

Additionally, the students were informed about the Women Help Desks established at police stations, designed to address issues related to women’s safety and assistance. The police team also briefed them on various government initiatives and schemes that promote women empowerment, safety, and self-reliance.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the Lucknow Police to build a safer and more supportive environment for women and girls, as part of the larger Nari Shaktikaran Abhiyan (Women Empowerment Campaign). The event marked another successful step in creating awareness about the available resources for women and reinforcing the message of women’s safety and empowerment in society.
