Lucknow District Judge Flags Off PRV Vehicle to Promote National Lok Adalat

Lucknow: Malkhan Singh, District Judge of Lucknow and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority Lucknow, flagged off a PRV awareness vehicle from the court premises on Wednesday to promote the upcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on May 9, 2026.

The National Lok Adalat is being organised in accordance with the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow. The event will be conducted at the district court, collectorate and all tehsils across Lucknow district.

To ensure widespread public awareness about the National Lok Adalat, the PRV vehicle was formally flagged off at 10 am on May 7. The awareness vehicle will travel across all tehsils, blocks and remote areas of Lucknow district to inform citizens about the benefits and functioning of the Lok Adalat system.

The initiative aims to encourage litigants to resolve disputes amicably through speedy and cost-effective legal mechanisms available under the National Lok Adalat framework.

Among those present during the programme were Prakash Tiwari, Nodal Officer for National Lok Adalat and Additional District Judge; Kunwar Mitresh Singh Kushwaha, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority; Kiran Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Nodal Officer; along with judicial officers, court staff, para-legal volunteers, panel advocates and defence counsels.
