Lucknow: Lalit Kala Akademi has been continuously doing art activities for the promotion and development of art and artists. Mainly for the convenience of artists, providing opportunities to work through workshops, art camps, exhibitions, scholarships etc.
Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India organized the “Tiranga Run” under the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” (9-15 August 2024) with great pomp. Various programs were organized by Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Center Lucknow to inspire the feeling of attachment and patriotism towards the national flag among the countrymen.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest of the event, Dr. Roshan Jacob, Divisional Commissioner, Lucknow. The “Tiranga Run” was started from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Women’s Post Graduate College via Purnia Square and after the presentation of folk dance on patriotic tune at Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Center, the Tiranga Run again left for Subhash Chandra Bose College.
Working artists and scholarship artists of Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Center, Lucknow, Lucknow University, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Women’s Post Graduate College, Aliganj, Lucknow, Goel Institute, Study Hall School Gomti Nagar along with students and artists of various schools and colleges as well as art lovers participated enthusiastically in the Tiranga Run.
Tricolor, T-shirts and caps were distributed to the artists and students by Dr. Devendra Tripathi, Regional Secretary and Prof. Anuradha Tiwari, Principal and detailed information about the outline of the program was given and the Regional Secretary made everyone take a pledge to respect the national flag.
During the Tiranga Run, a folk dance was presented in the Tiranga Run in collaboration with the Institute of Folk and Tribal Arts, Lucknow. Also, a patriotic musical performance was presented in the college before the closing ceremony. Under the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan”, a “Tiranga Run” and cultural program was organized on 13th August 2024 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Women’s Post Graduate College, Aliganj, Lucknow. Music presented Rang De Basanti, Maa Tujhe Salaam etc. During the presentation, it concluded with Vande Mataram and Jai Hind.
The event was organized in collaboration with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Women’s Post Graduate College, and Institute of Folk and Tribal Arts, Lucknow. The program concluded with the national anthem.
Dr. Manorama Singh, Senior Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University Regional Center Lucknow, Dr. Kirti Vikram Singh, Assistant Director, IGNOU Lucknow, Senior Kiran Rathore, Ajit Singh, Shiv Balak, Mamta Rabha, Poonam Nag Chaturvedi and Poonam Nagu, Venugopal Parashar, Prem Sagar Sharma, Saumya Agrahari, Gyanendra and other employees of the center and art lovers of the city were present in the program.
