Lucknow: The Regional Centre of the Lalit Kala Akademi, operating under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is set to organize an inspiring artistic event titled “Vardhani” on June 30, 2026. The programme will feature a PowerPoint presentation and a special lecture session aimed at highlighting the creative journeys, research, and artistic practices of emerging scholars.

The event will be held at the Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre, Ekta Vihar, Sector-E, Aliganj, Lucknow, beginning at 4:00 PM. Continuing the Akademi’s long-standing commitment to preserving and promoting visual arts while nurturing young talent, the programme seeks to provide a meaningful platform for scholars to share their artistic vision, creative processes, and professional experiences with art enthusiasts, students, researchers, and the wider public.

The spotlight of the event will be on two promising Akademi scholars—Tanya Gupta and Prachi Agrawal.

Tanya Gupta, who specializes in painting, will present insights into her artistic journey, discussing how colors, forms, and visual narratives help express a range of emotions and ideas through her work. Meanwhile, Prachi Agrawal, an emerging sculptor, will share her experiences of transforming clay, stone, and other materials into meaningful artistic creations. She will elaborate on the challenges, techniques, and creative processes involved in contemporary sculptural practice.

Their presentations are expected to offer valuable perspectives on the evolving landscape of contemporary art while addressing the opportunities and challenges faced by young artists today. The session will also encourage dialogue between emerging practitioners and the broader artistic community.

Adding further significance to the event, renowned senior artist Umendra Pratap Singh will grace the occasion. His presence and extensive experience in the field of art are expected to provide valuable guidance and inspiration to the participating scholars and attendees.

According to the organizers, “Vardhani” is more than a formal presentation platform; it is an effort to deepen public engagement with art and foster meaningful exchanges between artists and audiences. The programme reflects the Akademi’s continued dedication to supporting artistic excellence and strengthening cultural awareness.

The Regional Centre of Lalit Kala Akademi has extended a warm invitation to art lovers, students of fine arts, researchers, academicians, and media representatives to attend the event. Such initiatives not only encourage emerging artists but also contribute significantly to enriching Lucknow’s vibrant cultural and artistic landscape.

The event is expected to serve as a valuable opportunity for participants to gain insight into contemporary artistic practices while celebrating the creativity and dedication of the next generation of Indian artists.
