Lucknow: Lalit Kala Akademi has been continuously carrying out art activities to encourage and develop art and artists since its establishment in the year 1954, which mainly includes providing opportunities for artists to work through workshops, art camps, exhibitions, scholarships etc.
On the occasion of Foundation Day, the exhibition of the Akademi’s artwork collection was inaugurated by Prof. Umesh Kumar Saxena, Senior Artist and Shakeel, Senior Artist at Regional Center Lucknow and on this occasion senior artists of the center and city such as Rajendra Prasad, Prof. Sunil Saxena, Kiran Rathore, Ajit Singh, Shiv Balak, Mamta Rabha, Poonam Nag Chaturvedi and Poonam Nagu, Devi Deen Pal were honored.
On this occasion, Prof. Umesh Kumar Saxena in his speech said that the Academy has been working for the promotion of art and the benefit of artists since its inception and in future also it should take forward such programs and schemes which will encourage young artists.
Shakeel emphasized that the facilities provided for artists in Regional Center, Lucknow are of very good level, due to this artists get these facilities to work and they are good level artists.
The guests who came to the exhibition talked about their association with the center, they believe that Regional Center, Lucknow is a good place for all artists to work at one place. They themselves come to the center from time to time to meet the eminent artists. In the end, Kiran Rathore shared her art experiences, she said that the establishment of this center has made it very easy for the artists here to do art work.
Dr. Devendra Tripathi, Regional Secretary welcomed and thanked the chief guest and artists and highlighted the activities of the academy.
The program was conducted by the center’s ceramic supervisor Shitanshu Gupta Maurya.
