Janata Dal (United) Uttar Pradesh to Hold Key Organizational Meeting in Lucknow on May 7

Lucknow: Janata Dal (United) Uttar Pradesh has announced an important organizational meeting scheduled to be held on May 7, 2026, at the party’s state headquarters in Lucknow. The meeting will begin at 11:00 AM at the party office located at 38-D, Major Banks Road, opposite Gate No. 6 of the Vidhan Sabha.

According to an official statement, the meeting will be chaired by Uttar Pradesh State President Anoop Singh Patel. It will bring together all senior state office bearers, district presidents, heads of various party cells, and active members of the organisation.

The agenda of the meeting includes a comprehensive review of the party’s organisational structure at the state level, assessment of district units where presidents have already been appointed, and evaluation of the formation and functioning of district-level committees.

Party leaders will also deliberate on upcoming political and organisational programmes across various districts of Uttar Pradesh. Another key focus will be the strategy for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, including discussions on contesting seats and reviewing constituencies identified by district presidents.

Strengthening the party’s membership drive, increasing grassroots mobilisation, and enhancing organisational efficiency across the state will also be key points of discussion.

The party has stated that all state-level office bearers, spokespersons, district presidents, heads and coordinators of all party cells, and active members are expected to attend the meeting. Participation has been described as essential for strengthening and energising the party’s organisational structure in Uttar Pradesh.

The meeting is expected to play a significant role in shaping the party’s future roadmap in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
