Lucknow — A press conference was held today at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), where key details of a successful police operation were shared with the media.
A joint team comprising officials from the Surveillance Cell of DCP South Zone, and police personnel from Mohanlalganj, Nagaram, and Nigohan police stations, successfully apprehended seven hardened criminals belonging to an inter-district gang involved in thefts, robberies, and burglaries.
Out of the seven accused, two were arrested following an encounter, while the other five were taken into custody during further action, including three additional suspects. These individuals have been found to be involved in 15 to 20 criminal cases across various police jurisdictions.
The police also reported a significant recovery of stolen items, marking a major breakthrough in multiple previously registered cases.
The South Zone Police’s swift action has not only exposed a long-operating criminal network but also restored public confidence in law enforcement’s dedication to maintaining law and order.
Further investigations are underway, and more disclosures are expected in the coming days.
