HCLTech to Launch State-of-the-Art Tech Center in Hyderabad’s Hitec City

Hyderabad: Hyderabad is set to witness the inauguration of a cutting-edge tech center by global technology giant HCLTech next month. The announcement was made by HCLTech’s Global CEO and MD, C Vijayakumar, during a meeting with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Minister of IT and Industries D Sridhar Babu on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum annual conference.

The new facility, located in Hyderabad’s Hitec City, spans an impressive 3.2 lakh square feet and is designed to accommodate 5,000 IT professionals. It has also earned gold accreditation from the Indian Green Building Council, reflecting its eco-friendly design. This marks a significant expansion of HCLTech’s presence in Hyderabad, increasing its footprint to five locations with a combined seating capacity of 8,500.

The tech center will specialize in providing advanced solutions in cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation for clients in sectors such as financial services and life sciences.

Boosting Hyderabad’s Status as a Global IT Hub
HCLTech CEO Vijayakumar lauded Hyderabad’s infrastructure and talent pool, describing the city as a critical node in the company’s global network. He invited the Chief Minister and IT Minister to officially inaugurate the facility in February, emphasizing the center’s role in supporting both the local tech ecosystem and global clientele.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the development, stating, “The new tech center further consolidates Hyderabad’s position as a leading IT hub in the world and reaffirms Hyderabad’s continued attraction for global IT companies.”

Minister Sridhar Babu echoed this sentiment, highlighting the state government’s commitment to fostering innovation and technology. He emphasized efforts to expand employment opportunities for local youth and extend IT development to Tier-II and Tier-III cities in Telangana. He also urged HCLTech to consider establishing additional centers in other parts of the state.

This new development strengthens Hyderabad’s reputation as a preferred destination for global IT giants, further enhancing its contribution to India’s booming technology sector.
